The church is the place where the gospel of Jesus Christ impacts the people of Jesus Christ. It is where people come before the cross of Christ, to confess their sins, to lay down their worries, to submit their prayers, to open their hearts, to receive love, forgiveness, salvation, peace, hope, and power from the cross of Christ.
